CFUW Saanich Peninsula was officially formed in April 1995 at the BC Council Annual Meeting, which was hosted by CFUW Victoria that year.  The Director of Membership presented the Club with its Charter. Lead by a member Executive group, nominations are held annually at the AGM in May. All members are encouraged to participate.

The 21 Clubs in British Columbia form the CFUW BC Council.

CFUW National was founded in 1919 aa a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization with over 100 Clubs, located in every province across Canada.

CFUW’s vision is of a strong national organization working to ensure that all girls and women have equal opportunities and equal access to quality education within a peaceful and secure environment where their human rights are respected. This vision includes a world where poverty is reduced, discrimination eliminated, where there are equal opportunities for leadership, employment, income, education, careers and the ability to maximize potential.
