One-time Awards

In 2021, after the death of long time member Margaret Little, the Club received a memorial donation and some of Margaret’s artwork.

Margaret Little (1930–2020) was a British Columbia-based artist known for her creative, multi-medium work, settling in Sidney, BC, in 2002. Her artistic practice focused on personal expression, utilizing various forms to communicate, heal, and create beauty, while also engaging in environmental activism and community support.

With the donation and the sale of the art, plus an infusion to top-up the amount, we offered a one-time $1,000 scholarship in Margaret’s name at the University of Victoria in the Fine Arts program.

Tori Jones was the recipient for her work organizing
the “(Un)Expected,” an exhibit held at the ArtSea Gallery in Sidney, BC.

In 2025, the Education Trust Fund received an anonymous donation worth approximately $3,115.

At the request of the donor this amount will be
presented as a scholarship in June of 2026 to a student enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program at Parkland Secondary School.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global
leader in international education—developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Their programs empower school-aged students to take ownership in their own learning and help them develop future-ready skills to make a difference and thrive in a world that changes fast.
