Tanya is an exceptional student who has excelled in her classes during her years at Claremont Secondary School. In addition, she has contributed to her community through several volunteer initiatives. She is the first to help in her neighbourhood – every winter she’s out helping shovel snow from her neighbours’ driveways and every summer she volunteers to babysit neighbour’s children 4-5 days a week. At Claremont, she has been a member of the Kiwanis Key Club – a youth volunteer organization that spearheads several fundraising activities to help the less fortunate. She has also been a member of Model UN Club and this year was awarded Best Delegate at the Victoria Model UN Conference.
Tanya has a passion for medical sciences. For the past year, she has volunteered at the Saanich Peninsula Youth Health Clinic. Her supervisor speaks very highly of Tanya and her dedication and commitment to the program.
Tanya has been accepted to the highly competitive Nursing Program in Victoria beginning at Camosun and ending at UVIC.
